I am an artist born and raised in Midlothian, making public art and painting.

I have a socially engaged practice and a proven track record of facilitating community-led and co-creation projects.

Locally, we would describe our home as ‘ma bit’. I have a deep love of ma bit. Midlothian culture and heritage are core and central to my artwork. My family have a very long residence in the county and have worked in the quarries, farms, pits, and in service, the main industries of the county, and this has fuelled my interest in my community history and the underlying geology of the county. I have borne witness to the ever-changing landscape before and since the end of coal mining and am very interested in preserving our unique traditions and intangible culture.
